Ladder safety is paramount to the well being of technicians, and AusDigi seeks to remind all technicians and staff that at all times :

Three points of contact must be maintained on a ladder.

At no time may a person straddle a ladder or stand on the top rungs.

Scaffold should be used when possible and permissible.

A spotter should always be present when operating EWP’s.

Only a licensed operator may use an EWP, and only a licensed rigger may erect scaffold.

Platform ladders must be used when a scaffold or EWP is unable to be used.

Only persons certified for working at heights should be working at height.

If lifting screens or heavy objects, use a dedicated lifting device for this purpose.

Where possible a fir for purpose harness should be worn at all times.

Please ensure you are safe at heights, and contact us any time you feel uncertain about a working at heights situation.
