Screens and Signage

AusDigi were recently selected to supply and install a bespoke 80m long Large Screen LED Wall for agile advertising.

AusDigi designed and built the system to incorporate 83 panels on a custom framing solution, designed and constructed in-house including all soil tests, framing, civil works, digging and concreting. Getting the screen perfectly flat, stable and able to withstand Queensland weather conditions was no mean feat, but after surviving through the worst hurricane in recent history, we believe the engineering speaks for itself!

The system uses cloud based content delivery to provide agile and up to the minute advertising, where previously the venue had used traditional fixed painted signage. The venue is now able to sell advertising space by the minute, hour, event and image size – no longer limited to a fixed display, this in turn offers the client the ability to significantly increase their advertising revenue and turn their signage into an agile space where the sky is the limit in terms of advertising revenue.

The LED system includes light sensors to adjust to daylight viewing and night time viewing – specifically important as the images are broadcast internationally and could cause the broadcast camera systems to “blow out” if too bright especially in the evenings or in overcast weather.

With refresh rate being an issue for broadcast cameras, and knowing this screen would be broadcast around the world regularly, a high refresh rate was used to ensure jitter free capture on broadcast cameras.

Viewers and clients like can see their advertising broadcast on international sports channels on most weekends, with punchy advertising and welcome messages displayed throughout the day – designed for ease of use, our client enjoys the ability to change their ads on the fly from anywhere in the world without the need to pay ongoing third party management fees.

Whilst the project was a challenging design incorporating major engineering challenges, the system was completed flawlessly without error and is one of the longer screens in length in Australasia.
