IF YOU ARE INSTALLING WITH A QUEST PINPAD Please refer to the photo in this section and also download a copy from the EXERCISE FILES on this page to familiarise yourself with the cabling topology. If no pinpad is being installed, please refer to the next section.
Cables are port specific and should only be plugged in exactly as pictured.
Looking at the rear of the unit from left to right we can see : Printer cable, Power cable, Quest Pinpad cable, Data cable, HDMI cable for the customer facing screen and cash drawer cable (orange – cannot be substituted for any other cable type).
Please ensure these are plugged in EXACTLY AS THE PHOTOS SHOW.
NEVER plug the USB cable between the client screen and Wave8 !
You will also need to power from a power board so please ensure the cabling is tidy through to the power board, using velcro or cable ties, and not running around bench tops where it can become snagged by staff.
Don’t forget to use small cable ties to attach the cables neatly to the cable tidy bars inside the unit to the rear of the connection ports before closing up.
